Malcolm has over 31 years of experience in transmission, covering both electricity and gas.  He began his career in electricity transmission operations, working in a range of electricity focused roles before moving across to gas in 2010. Malcolm’s current role is Net Zero Policy Manager, focusing on policies that will deliver a net zero gas system.

Previous to his current role, Malcolm was the Future of Heat Programme Manager, working across gas and electricity transmission. Between, 2014 and 2019, Malcolm was on secondment with ENTSOG (European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas) based in Brussels working on the development of the EU gas market. In addition to ENTSOG, Malcolm has had secondments in the USA and with the UK Government.
