Stuart is WSP’s UK Earth and Environment Sector lead for Oil, Gas & Energy Transition.  A geologist by training, he has delivered environmental services primarily to the oil and gas sector across the globe for more than 25 years.  Without leaving (all) his clients behind, over the last decade his portfolio has evolved significantly towards the development and delivery of a wide range of Low Carbon energy projects, including the application of hydrogen (and derivatives), CCS technologies and alternative low carbon fuel production.  As sector lead for WSP, Stuart is able to draw on the expertise from teams delivering advisory, design and environmental assessment and consenting services from the wide range of hydrogen projects WSP are currently engaged with, including blue and green hydrogen production plants, pipeline distribution networks, hydrogen transport schemes (land and marine) and hydrogen storage projects. As a member of WSP’s global sector leadership team and account manager for a number of global energy majors, Stuart is passionate about expediting the learnings and advances being made globally to help accelerate the application of hydrogen and low carbon energy solutions here in the UK.  More specifically still, as a board member of Hydrogen South West he is a particularly ardent advocate for development of hydrogen solutions in his delightful home region!
